About Jolene Hemeon StudiosSince 1989, Jolene Hemeon has worked primarily in the Washington DC area designing and executing various faux finishes and decorative painting in private homes. Offering decorative Italian plasters and murals, Jolene's finishes evoke a sense of history. This sense of the past is enhanced by her use of the centuries-old techniques of hand troweling and glazing. Capturing a color palette from the owner's home décor, she creates a serene yet visually interesting effect. For years she studied fine art under the direction of Russian Master Painter, Natasha Mokina, as well as the North Shore Arts Association in Gloucester. Jolene is an accomplished portrait and landscape artist and also brings this talent to bear in her residential and commercial murals. Education:One of five certified teachers in the U.S. at the School of Italian Plasters (Studied in Italy); Russian Academy of Fine Art, Washington DC; North Shore Arts Association, Gloucester, MA; Bachelor of Science, Brigham Young University.
